Conte warns title race is not over

Antonio Conte admitted Chelsea in their current form are finding victories “simple” – but warned the title race is not over.

The Blues were brilliant in their 3-1 win over Arsenal, combining some terrific football with great intensity and workrate.

And while boss Conte was keen to play down the significance of the win, which put them 12 points ahead of third-placed Arsenal, he felt his side were showing signs of hitting their best form.elig

He said: “I’m pleased for my players because they showed me great commitment.

“Arsenal have shown [themselves] to be a great team with great players.

“If you don’t play with great concentration, great will to fight, with a good will to work together offensively and defensively you risk losing. Instead, we worked very well.

“When we are able to work in this way it’s simple to try to win for us.”

But despite Arsene Wenger saying the title was now Chelsea’s to lose, Conte reiterated his belief that his side could still be caught.

“There are 42 points to take,” the Italian said.

“Today it was important to win against a rival for the title.

“We must know that we must continue to work very hard If we want to realise our dream.”
