Antonio Conte says Eden Hazard has recovered from a calf problem and is in contention for Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Arsenal.

Hazard sat out Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Norwich in the FA Cup but is expected to be included in the squad for Wednesday’s first leg against the Gunners.

“Eden is in good physical condition,” confirmed Blues boss Conte.

“He recovered from this little problem in his calf and is ready and in contention for tomorrow’s game.”

However, Conte added that he intends to rotate his side, with a number of fringe players again expected to feature.

“Tomorrow is another opportunity to make rotations compared to the last game, but we want to win the game,” he said.

“When you play every three days it is important to make the rotations and at the same time your team must be very strong. It is a very important game.”
