Callum Hudson-Odoi will make his first-team return for Chelsea in their Carabao Cup game against Grimsby and Reece James will make his debut.
Hudson-Odoi has recovered from the ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered towards the end of last season.
The England international has featured in two recent games for Chelsea’s development side as part of his comeback, as has James.
Defender James, who has had an ankle injury, impressed on loan at Championship side Wigan last season and has been tipped to establish himself in the Chelsea side under Frank Lampard.
Lampard, still waiting for his first win as Blues boss, has confirmed that both players will be involved in Wednesday’s third-round tie.
