Chelsea’s Cucurella to have scan after suffering injury
Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella will have a scan to determine the extent of a hamstring injury he suffered during the 2-2 draw against Leeds.
The left-back had to be replaced at half-time at Stamford Bridge and could now be facing a spell on the sidelines.
Head coach Liam Rosenior said: “Unfortunately, at half-time, he felt his hamstring. It wasn’t a tactical change. It was one that was enforced.
“Cucu’s been top and hopefully he’ll be OK. We’ll scan him and make sure we find out if he’s available for the next game.”
That next game is an FA Cup fourth-round tie away to Championship side Hull City on Friday evening.
Chelsea lost a two-goal lead against Leeds, who escaped with a point after an extraordinary miss from two yards out in stoppage time by Cole Palmer, which Rosenior described as a “one-in-a-thousand moment”.
