Chelsea youngsters see off Oxford to reach semi-finals
Chelsea’s development side reached the semi-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy by beating Oxford United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Early goals from Harvey St Clair and Daishawn Redan put the hosts in control and Juan Castillo’s superb strike in the second half sealed a resounding quarter-final win.[phone]

Ethan Ampadu (pictured) featured for Chelsea, who went ahead when St Clair was on hand to score after Redan’s shot had been saved by keeper Simon Eastwood.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was involved in the build up to that goal and then set up Redan, who fired home the second.
And Castillo netted with a right-footed strike after drifting in from the left flank.
