Chelsea youngsters demolish Swansea despite playing with 10 men

Chelsea’s Under-18 side enjoyed a 6-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday despite playing much of the game with 10 men.

George Nunn scored twice in the game at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, where Pierre Ekwah Elimby also scored but was sent off five minutes later, and there were goals too for Theirno Ballo, Clinton Mola and Armando Broja.

Nunn opened the scoring after being set up by Marcel Lavinier’s low cross and the young Blues were two up by the interval courtesy of Ballo’s tidy finish after being set up by Mola.

Ekwah Elimby headed home Myles Peart-Harris’ corner to make it 3-0 a couple of minutes into the second half but was red-carded shortly afterwards for a professional foul.

Nevertheless, Chelsea scored three more, with Mola’s strike going in via a deflection off a Swansea player, Nunn making it five after collecting Peart-Harris’ ball in from the left, and substitute Broja getting the sixth after being supplied by Mola’s pass.
