Loftus-Cheek having treatment for hamstring problem

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is having treatment on a hamstring injury.

The 20-year-old was forced to withdraw from the England Under-21 squad for a friendly against France in Bondoufle, south of Paris.

He had been tipped to play in the number 10 role in the match but was instead returned to Chelsea to be assessed.

Loftus-Cheek also missed a recent match against Italy but it was hoped he would make a quick return to action.

Former Chelsea youngster John Swift, who was on loan at Brentford last season and is now at Reading, also withdrew because of an injury.
