Gomes linked with move to Chelsea from Man Utd

Chelsea are looking to sign Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes but face major competition, according to The Independent.

The midfielder has been linked with Chelsea while his representatives have been negotiating a new deal for him at United.[

Those contract talks appear to have stalled, with Gomes having turned down an offer.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he believes the player will leave.

Angel Gomes is expected to leave Manchester United

And The Independent reports that Chelsea are interested in Gomes but that he has been courted by other top clubs.

The newspaper Gomes was offered £25,000 a week by United but is likely to leave Old Trafford.

“I've got no news, nothing,” Solskjaer said at a news conference on Monday when asked whether Gomes was set to leave.

"I’ve not heard from them last night or this morning, it seems like they haven’t managed to agree. The answer is probably short and ‘yes [he's leaving]’, then.”

Ajax duo linked again

Chelsea continue to be linked with Ajax duo Andre Onana and Nicolas Tagliafico.

Onana is one of a host of keepers to have been linked with Chelsea amid speculation over the future of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Argentine left-back Tagliafico has been touted as a possible signing should the Blues not be able agree a deal for Ben Chilwell.

England international Chilwell has been linked with Chelsea for some time but Leicester reportedly want as much as £80m for him.

The Sun reports that both Onana and Tagliafico have been told they can leave Ajax, potentially paving the way for them to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea want Rice - Sun

Chelsea are again being linked with a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice.

The Sun claim Blues boss Frank Lampard wants to sign the England international, who was on Chelsea’s books prior to joining West Ham.

The newspaper have declared that Chelsea are “growing confident they will wrap up a deal” to take Rice to the Bridge and that the Hammers “know it will be almost impossible” to keep Rice.
