Chelsea to play in Boston friendly

Chelsea will play New England Revolution in a charity match at the Major League Soccer club’s Gillette Stadium on Wednesday 15 May.

It has been arranged as part of the ‘Say No To Antisemitism’ campaign developed by Chelsea.

The game has been titled ‘Final Whistle On Hate’ and tickets will go on sale Friday 15 March and Chelsea have announced that all proceeds will go towards raising funds for projects promoting equality and tolerance.

It has also been announced that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and Revolution owner Robert Kraft will each donate $1bn to the cause.

The primary beneficiaries will include the World Jewish Congress, the Tree of Life synagogue, the Anti-Defamation League and the Holocaust Educational Trust.
