Chelsea to play Barcelona in friendly

Chelsea will play Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in Japan in July.

The two sides will face each other on Tuesday 23 July as part of the Rakuten Cup.[phone]

The match will take place at the 64,000-capacity Saitama Stadium – one of Japan’s top sporting venues.

It will be played four days after Chelsea take on J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale in Yokohama.
