Willian’s superb strike in Chelsea’s 4-0 win at Brighton last month has been voted the Premier League Goal of the Month for January.

Chelsea’s second goal against the Seagulls came after a wonderful team move, with back-heels from Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi before Willian fired home. [phone]

“I’m very happy to win this award,” Willian said.

“It is one of the best goals that I’ve scored in my career. It was a special goal, it was a good moment, it was good quality by the team.

“I saw Hazard in front, and Batshuayi. I passed to Hazard, and then he passed to back to Michy, and then we played between us and I scored the goal.

“I hope to score more goals like this one, but the most important thing is to get a trophy.”
