Chelsea sign Spanish left-back Chavarria

Chelsea have signed Spanish left-back Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano.

Chavarria, 28, has signed a five-year contract and moves to west London for an initial £16m, with another £2m due in potential add-ons.

He is Chelsea’s 11th signing of the summer and a replacement for Marc Cucurella, who recently left the club.
