Sun say Willian could be offered new deal

Chelsea could offer Willian a two-year contract extension, The Sun say.

Willian, who recently turned 30, has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Club policy is to not give long-term deals to players over the age of 30, but The Sun say Chelsea could relax this in order to reward Willian by extending his contract to 2022.

The Blues are said to be looking to reward him for his loyalty this summer, when he was tipped to leave Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona and Manchester United were keen on him and the Brazilian was linked with Real Madrid.

He publicly declared his commitment to Chelsea both early in the summer and during the final days of the transfer window, easing speculation about his future.

The Sun suggest Willian, who is reportedly paid £120,000 a week, could be offered an improved contract in order to repay him for his loyalty and hardworking performances.
