Tino Anjorin scored one and made two after coming on as a substitute as Chelsea’s development side won 5-0 at Plymouth to reach the knockout stage of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Charlie Brown, Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Daishawn Redan also scored for the young Blues in a one-sided game at Home Park.
Brown got the opener, netting at the far post following Billy Gilmour’s corner, before an own goal by Yann Songo’o sent the visitors in at half-time 2-0 up.
England Under-17 midfielder Anjorin, who does not turn 17 until next month, has impressed so far this season and caught the eye again after coming on.
He crossed from the right for Taylor-Crossdale to make it 3-0, curled a superb long-range strike into the top corner for Chelsea’s fourth, and set up fellow substitute Redan to score with a couple of minutes remaining.
