Alonso passed fit after shaking off knock

Marcos Alonso has been passed fit for Chelsea’s derby clash with Tottenham.

Alonso required treatment after picking up a knock during the New Year’s Eve win against Stoke.

But he has trained fully since then and is set to play in Wednesday’s game at White Hart Lane.

“He is available for tomorrow’s game and we do not have any injuries,” Blues boss Antonio Conte confirmed.

Chelsea will set a new Premier League record if they make it 14 wins in a row by beating Spurs.

A victory would also take them eight points clear at the top of the table.

“To win 13 games in a row in this league is not easy – it’s very difficult,” said Conte.

“We are pleased about this and tomorrow we know we have a really tough game against Tottenham, which is a very strong team.

“For this reason it’s very important to pay great attention and to try to continue our run. For sure it will be very tough.”
