Chelsea expected to complete Zouma deal

Chelsea are expected to complete a deal to sign teenage defender Kurt Zouma from St Etienne today.

The 19-year-old is poised to sign for around £12m and then be loaned back to the French club for the rest of the season.

Touted as a possible long-term replacement for Blues skipper John Terry, the highly-rated Zouma has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time.

St Etienne were adamant that the player would stay with them until the end of the campaign.
