Chelsea cruise to win in Bangkok

Frank Lampard, Jose Bosingwa, Branislav Ivanovic and Florent Malouda scored as Chelsea continued their tour of Asia with a straightforward win.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech made his first start of the pre-season trip, and there were also starting places for Fernando Torres and Patrick van Aanholt.

Lampard opened the scoring on 37 minutes with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Chelsea had dominated the match, with John Obi Mikel heading wide, Bosingwa having a shot saved, and John Terry finding the net with a header only to be denied by an offside flag.

The Blues doubled their lead early in the second half, when goalkeeper Pattarakorn Tanganurat was unable to keep out Bosingwa’s long-range effort.

Ivanovic fired home the third after exchanging passes with youngster Josh McEachran, before Malouda completed the scoring after being set up by a lovely pass from Mikel.
