Conte under pressure at Chelsea, Mirror say

There is again speculation over Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea.

The Daily Mirror declare that Blues boss Conte “is under renewed pressure” and that “the beleaguered Italian is losing the faith of the Stamford Bridge board” with the champions now 14 points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Mirror say Conte’s bosses believed at the start of the season that Chelsea had enough quality to compete with City and feel he is not getting the best out of his squad.

The Mirror also say Conte is wanted by French club Paris St-Germain and again suggest he is keen to return to Italy.

It is also claimed that Willian is unhappy Conte is not playing him more regularly, while the manager’s relationship with David Luiz is said to be fragile after the defender was recently dropped.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail say Chelsea are preparing another bid to sign Ross Barkley from Everton.

The England international backed out of a move to the Bridge during the final hours of the summer transfer window and the Blues have been tipped to make another move for him.
