Youngster Broja’s new deal confirmed by Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed that young forward Armando Broja has been given a new long-term contract.

The Slough-born Albania international, 19, has signed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

He has made one first-team appearance for the Blues – as a late substitute during a 4-0 win at home to Everton in March last year.

He was on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last term, scoring 10 goals in 30 league matches for the Dutch club.

Broja is expected to be loaned out again for the coming season.

“I am really excited to be signing a new contract with Chelsea,” he told the club website.

“Having come through the academy here it was a special moment for me to make my first-team debut last year, before gaining further experience on loan at Vitesse last season.

“I want to build on these foundations and I am really looking forward to progressing and making an impact at Chelsea in the years to come.”
