Chelsea’s proposed signing of Camara collapses
A proposed move to Chelsea by midfielder Lamine Camara from Monaco fell through in the final hours of the transfer window.
Camara was targeted to replace Enzo Fernandez, who signed for Manchester City.
A deal was agreed and the 22-year-old was expected to sign for a fee of around £47m on a five-year contract.
But Monaco pulled the plug on the deal after agreeing the sale of Folarin Balogun to Everton – only for that move to collapse after the player had a last-minute change of heart.
