Chalobah completes loan move to Boro

Middlesbrough have completed the loan signing of Nathaniel Chalobah from Chelsea.

He will spend the rest of the season with Boro, who were one of a number of Championship clubs interested in him.

The England Under-21 international, 19, spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, making 12 appearances and scoring twice.

Chalobah, who can play in defence or midfield, spent last season on loan at Watford and was a key player for the Hornets as they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

He will join Kenneth Omeruo at the Riverside Stadium, where the young Nigerian is also on loan from the Blues.

Nathan Ake could also leave Stamford Bridge on loan in the near future.

Several clubs want the Dutch teenager, whose representatives have been in discussions with Chelsea to assess his options.

Meanwhile, Derby first-team coach Paul Simpson has said that on-loan Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford may have to bide his time before getting a place in the Rams starting line-up.
