Rafael Benitez dismissed speculation about his future following Chelsea’s victory against Wigan.
Amid reports the interim manager may not last in the job until the end of the season, Benitez insisted it was business as usual after his team’s 4-1 win.
“The press are talking and it’s just speculation,” he said.
Having surrendered two-goal leads against Southampton and Reading, Chelsea made sure this time, with late goals from Frank Lampard and Marko Marin sealing a deserved three points.
Benitez added: “It’s always important to win. It was a good game against a good team.
“The opportunity to use more players was much better for us. We were able to use David Luiz and Eden Hazard, so we moved Ramires to the right.
“That was crucial for us as we knew they would play with three at the back. We knew he would be an important player.”
