Benitez confirms Piazon loan move
Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed that teenage forward Lucas Piazon is to join Malaga on loan.
Piazon will spend the rest of the season with the Spanish outfit – one of several clubs to have expressed an interest in him.
The 18-year-old Brazilian, signed from Sao Paulo in 2010, has made three first-team appearances for the Blues.
His most recent outing came as a second-half substitute in last month’s 8-0 hammering of Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
“We have an agreement with Malaga so he will go there. It’s a loan for the rest of the season,” said Benitez.
