Rafael Benitez insists Chelsea can get even better following their 8-0 drubbing of Aston Villa.
The Blues were at their brilliant best against a young Villa side, with seven different names on the scoresheet, as they moved back to third in the table.
However, Benitez says he will be demanding even more from his players.
The interim manager said: “The main thing is to see the team progressing.
“At the moment, I can see the team improving – we can still improve some things, it’s just a question of working hard.
“The players from day one have been trying to learn. With this type of performance, you can win games.”
But Benitez does not believe Sunday’s result at Stamford Bridge will send shockwaves through the two title-chasing Manchester clubs.
“They knew before that Chelsea was a top side and they will know Chelsea is still a top side,” he said.
