Bees face City, Fulham play Newcastle and Chelsea get Cardiff in EFL Cup quarter-finals

Brentford have been drawn away to Manchester City, and Fulham away to Newcastle, in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, while Chelsea will play League One side Cardiff City.

Chelsea will make the trip to South Wales, having survived a second-half Wolves fightback to secure a place in the last eight.

The Blues’ win came 24 hours after Brentford thrashed Grimsby 5-0 and Fulham needed penalties to get past Wycombe.

The quarter-final ties will take place in the week beginning 15 December.
