AVB has ‘no problem’ with Mourinho texts

Andre Villas-Boas has dismissed suggestions his position as Chelsea manager is being undermined by members of his squad exchanging text messages with Jose Mourinho.

Ex-Blues boss Mourinho, who was recently linked with a return to Stamford Bridge, keeps in touch with several of his former players.

“I think it’s pretty normal for managers to have relationships with players they have managed before. I have no problem with it,” Villas-Boas insisted.

“I have an emotional attachment to people I managed at Academica and Porto. I text them and they text me back.”
