Romelu Lukaku scored as Chelsea comfortably saw off Arsenal.

Goals from Lukaku and Reece James in a one-sided first half gave the Blues the points.

Lukaku, making his first appearance since returning for a second spell at Chelsea, put them ahead after 15 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.

He was involved in the build-up, shielding the ball with his back to goal and laying it off to Mateo Kovacic, whose chipped pass found James in space on the right – and James simply teed up Lukaku for a tap-in.

And James doubled the lead to put the Blues in complete control.

After good work on the left by Marcos Alonso, Mason Mount found James in acres of space on the right again and the wing-back fired home.

Lukaku almost scored again with 13 minutes remaining when his header from Mount’s cross was superbly pushed onto the underside of the bar by keeper Bernd Leno.
