Lampard rues Chelsea’s poor defending

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was dismayed by his side’s terrible defending in their 3-1 defeat at Everton.

After two defensive lapses by Chelsea helped Everton take a two-goal lead, Mateo Kovacic pulled a goal back for the visitors and the home team were hanging on.

But a misplaced pass out from the back by keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga led to the third Everton goal, which sealed Chelsea’s third defeat in four league games.

Lampard said: “The first goal was something we were aware of: Richarlison in the air in the box. Then the other two are just really poor defending from us.

“We were looking like we were getting back in the game at 2-1 and it’s ridiculous the goal we away.”

  • You better leave all diz excuses everytime boss and tighten things up ASAP

  • Lampard should not cry for poor defends, the mistakes are all his fauls because if you are a wise coach you can realized the weak side in the game and immediately you make a possible substitution at a right time. I don't even know why he really focus on Zouma, Aziliqita and Willian, those players shouldn't be played in hard games. To mentions their weakness; Zouma usually panic whenever he has a ball while lonely, Aziliquita is old and weak in marking the opponent and willian has no power/ strong but can not attack the opponent just moves in the pitch as if he is touring. Lampard has to drops those players for two matches and see how they players shall perform.Aziliquita position should be given to Emerson, Zouma to Tomori and willian to Hudson Odi.
