Abraham plays and Musonda is sent off in Chelsea U23 defeat

Charly Musonda was sent off as Chelsea’s development side lost 1-0 at home to Derby County on Friday evening.

Tammy Abraham featured in the match at Stamford Bridge, where Musonda was dismissed for a second bookable offence in the second half.[phone]

Chris Martin’s goal on 23 minutes was enough to win the game for Derby and it came after Abraham and Luke McCormick had gone close for Chelsea, whose line-up also included Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Abraham, who spent last season on loan at Swansea, was given a run-out ahead of another possible move.

Aston Villa are among the Championship clubs hoping to snap the striker up before the loan window closes next week.
