Chelsea Ladies face a tough task to reach the Women’s Champions League final after losing 3-1 at home to German side Wolfsburg in the semi-final first leg.

The Blues got off to the perfect start when Ji So-yun fired them into a second-minute lead from Fran Kirby’s cross, but things went downhill rapidly from there.

Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir headed the visitors level with 15 minutes gone and they led when Maren Mjelde put through her own goal two minutes before the break.

And Lara Dickenmann’s 66th-minute volley left Wolfsburg firmly in the driving seat ahead of next weekend’s return leg.
