Chelsea top of WSL after beating West Ham

Chelsea moved to the top of the Women’s Super League as Ji So-Yun inspired a 3-1 comeback victory over West Ham United Women.

The Blues had the bulk of possession and created the better chances but could not find a first-half breakthrough and trailed to substitute Adriana Leon’s 58th-minute strike.

But Ji teed up Sophie Ingle’s leveller then made it 2-1, before Drew Spence wrapped up the win in injury-time.

The three goals in the final quarter of the match ensured a fourth win in five unbeaten league games and took Chelsea above Manchester City, who lost to Arsenal.

Ji was outstanding as Chelsea fought back

Ingle started the fightback by stroking the ball into the top corner and Ji’s shot from the edge of the box made it 2-1.

Spence, the club’s longest-serving player, sealed victory with a cool finish after good work by Fran Kirby.
