Vibe strike earns Bees a point

Lasse Vibe’s first-half strike was enough to earn Brentford a point from a scrappy match.

Vibe put the Bees ahead with a clever chipped finish but Tom Lawrence levelled for Blackburn by the interval to ensure the points were shared.[phone][/phone]

Vibe opened the scoring after running through and lifting the ball over keeper Jason Steele and he had chance to make it 2-0 but shot just wide.

Rovers quickly equalised when Lawrence fired home a fine shot from long range after great work by Craig Conway.

Neither side looked like finding a winner for much of a dour second half, lacking both excitement and noteworthy goalmouth incident.

But in the closing stages Bees keeper David Button made a great save to deny Ben Marshall and secure a point.
