Two sent off as Brentford are beaten by Liverpool

Yehor Yarmoliuk and Vitaly Janelt were both sent off as Liverpool came from behind to beat Brentford.
Keane Lewis-Potter put the hosts ahead but Yarmoliuk’s sending-off moments before half-time changed the course of the game.
Victor Munoz equalised, Alexander Isak put Liverpool ahead, and the Bees ended the game with nine men after Janelt was dismissed in stoppage time.
Lewis-Potter scored shortly before half-time with a fine header into the top corner from an equally impressive Igor Thiago cross.
The goal came shortly after Liverpool were initially awarded a penalty when Alexis Mac Allister went down under a challenge from Dango Ouattara, but the decision was reversed after VAR showed that the Brentford man had got the ball.
Lewis-Potter’s goal was his second of the season and the hosts deserved their lead – but they were dealt a major blow in first-half stoppage time when Yarmoliuk was red-carded for violent conduct after inexplicably nudging his head into Jeremy Jacquet’s.
Barcola had earlier missed a chance to put the Reds ahead when he lifted the ball over the bar after Yarmoliuk had given the ball away.
Liverpool took advantage in the second half, with Munoz firing home after skipping past Lewis-Potter, and Isak netting the winner after being found by a cross from Barcola, who then curled an effort against the bar.
Brentford’s misery was compounded when Janelt was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Rio Ngumoha.
