Police investigate alleged racist comment about Donaldson on Twitter

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into an alleged racist comment about Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson posted on Twitter.

He was mentioned in a discussion on the micro-blogging website about his recent performances.

Donaldson came in for some criticism on Saturday evening after missing a penalty during the 1-1 draw away to Scunthorpe. He does not use Twitter and took no part in the exchange.

The club was immediately made aware of the alleged comment and gathered evidence with the help of staff and supporters before submitting it to police on Wednesday.
