Meghoma joins Portsmouth on loan from Brentford

Brentford left-back Jayden Meghoma has signed a season-long loan deal with Championship side Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old England youth international follows fellow Bees player Benjamin Arthur in moving to Fratton Park on loan.

Meghoma, who has made four senior appearances for the Bees, has previously been on loan at Preston North End and, last season, with Scottish side Rangers.

Pompey boss John Mousinho said: “It is no secret that left-back is an area where we needed to strengthen and it’s great to bring in someone in who has both exciting potential, but also plenty of experience of men’s football.”
