Brentford assistant Riemer to leave for Anderlecht

Brentford’s assistant head coach Brian Riemer is to leave the club to take over as head coach of Belgian side Anderlecht.

Anderlect currently sit 11th in the Belgian First Division and sacked boss Felice Mazzu in October following their disappointing start to the season.

Riemer has been with Brentford since 2018, joining following the appointment of Thomas Frank as head coach.

He helped the Bees win promotion to the top flight in 2021 and to finish 13th in the club’s first ever season in the Premier League.
