Ouattara’s goal earns Brentford a point at Hull

Dango Ouattara’s equaliser earned Brentford a point at Hull.

Ouattara hauled the Bees level shortly after the hour mark, after a blunder by keeper Caoimhín Kelleher midway through the first half led to a Hull penalty, which Oli McBurnie converted.

Kelleher sent a woeful pass towards Aaron Hickey, playing him into trouble, and Hickey was robbed by Tim Irogbunam.

Hickey brought down the former QPR loanee and could easily have been given a red rather than a yellow card.

McBurnie made no mistake from the spot and Hull appealed in vain for another penalty before the interval, when Regan Slater went down under a challenge from Sepp van den Berg.

Just after coming on as a substitute, Jaidon Anthony delivered a cross from the left, Ryan Giles made a mess of his clearance, and Igor Thiago nudged the ball towards Ouattara, who applied the finish.
