German defender Eger leaves Brentford

Marcel Eger has left Brentford after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.

The German defender moved to Griffin Park last summer and made 22 appearances during his season with the Bees.

He was hampered by an ankle problem and his last first-team outing came in January against Huddersfield.

Confirming Eger’s departure, Brentford manager Uwe Rosler described the player as “a complete professional.”
