Forshaw affected by injury, says Rosler

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler says Adam Forshaw is still being hindered by an abdominal injury.

The former Everton youngster grabbed his first goal for the Bees in the 1-0 win over Oldham on Saturday.

Forshaw scored against Oldham.

But he was forced off after 57 minutes because of an ongoing issue with his midriff.

“Adam has been managing an abdominal problem and I did not want to risk him being out for longer by playing the whole match,” Rosler admitted.

“But we feel we are getting on top of it and soon he will be able to play the whole game without any problems.

“I think Adam, even with his problems, has been our most able performer so far this season. The combination and goal he took today was fantastic.”

Rosler also confirmed goalkeeper Simon Moore and captain Jonathan Douglas had gone to hospital after the game to have X-rays on hand injuries, but neither problem looks serious.
