Forss signs new Brentford deal and makes loan move

Striker Marcus Forss has signed a new four-year contract with Brentford and joined AFC Wimbledon on loan until January.

The 20-year-old Finn has made 12 first-team appearances for the Bees including three this season.

He has only started four games for the club in total, but has managed two goals in three starts in the Carabao Cup, including one against Cambridge this term.

Bees head coach Thomas Frank has previously described Forss as having some of the “best finishing skills in the squad”.

“We have big expectations for him and sometimes the younger players need that one game or three games in a row where things click and they can get some momentum,” Frank added.

The Bees boss said it was now important for Forss to work on other areas of his game and get more regular football.
