Warburton impressed by Bees response

Brentford manager Mark Warburton said his side fully deserved their victory against Blackburn after a much-improved second-half display.

The Bees remain in the last Championship promotion play-off spot after Andre Gray’s late goal earned a 3-2 victory at Ewood Park.

But Warburton’s side are now just two points behind Derby and Norwich and five points adrift of third-placed Bournemouth, who all failed to win on Tuesday night.

“We made individual errors and were frustrated and angry at half-time as a group because the standards had been so high that they have set,” Waburton said.

“But it was a fantastic response. In the second half we looked strong and I thought we were worthy winners in the end.

“It was a great win. You saw late goals, equalisers, people dropping points and that will carry on week in, week out. Our only focus is on Brentford.”
