Eriksen’s United move is confirmed

Christian Eriksen has joined Manchester United on a three-year deal.

The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season with Brentford but his short-term contract expired at the end of June.

Brentford offered him an improved deal and boss Thomas Frank was optimistic of keeping hold of the midfielder beyond the end of last season, but Eriksen has instead opted to join Manchester United over the Bees.

“Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times but to do it in the red shirt of United will be an amazing feeling,” Eriksen told the Manchester United club website.

“I still have major ambitions in the game, there is a huge amount that I know I can achieve, and this is the perfect place to continue my journey.”
