German youngster Holldack joins Bees
Teenage German defender Jan Holldack has joined Brentford on a free transfer from Cologne.
The 19-year-old has signed a two-year contract and will initially be part of the Bees’ development squad.
Holldack, who has two Germany Under-18 caps, played in the Cologne youth team last season.
Robert Rowan, the Bees’ new head of football operations, said: “Jan joins us from a club with a good reputation of player development, so we are confident that not only are we getting a player with the fundamentals to be a first-team player but also the professionalism and personality to develop in London.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Brentford confirmed the signing of Admira Wacker midfielder Konstantin Kerschbaumer for an undisclosed fee.
