Brentford keen on Wigan midfielder Morsy

Brentford are keen on Wigan midfielder Sam Morsy.

Sheffield Wednesday are also interested in the 27-year-old Egypt international, who previously had spells at Port Vale, Chesterfield and Barnsley.

He is among a number of potential summer signings being discussed by the Bees, as is Blackburn goalkeeper David Raya.

Brentford have targeted Raya, 23, amid doubts over the futures of keepers Daniel Bentley and Luke Daniels, who both have a year remaining on their contracts at Griffin Park.

Third-choice keeper Jack Bonham is among the out-of-contract players being released by Brentford this summer.

  • Morsy is too old for Brentford (No 'sell on' value when contract is in last year).
Why would Brentford go for Raya when he is as mistakes prone as current keeper David Bentley?
