Transfer gossip: Leeds linked with Sawyers

Leeds United reportedly want Brentford midfielder Romaine Sawyers.

West London Sport recently revealed that the Bees had turned down a £2m bid for Sawyers from Celtic, who remain interested in the midfielder.

The Daily Record reckon Leeds, who recently sold defender Pontus Jansson to Brentford, are also keen on Sawyers.

Maupay speculation

There continues to be speculation over the future of Brentford striker Neal Maupay.

Following reports that Sheffield United were pursuing a £15m deal to sign the Frenchman, West London Sport recently revealed that Brentford want at least £20m and that no approach for Maupay has in fact been received.

The Sun this week claimed that Brentford had dropped their asking price to £15m and were ready to sell.

And the Daily Mail  have claimed that Sheffield United have enquired about buying Maupay for £16.5m. Aston Villa and Burnley are also said to have shown an interest.
