Transfer gossip: Henry touted for potential United move

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Brentford…

Brentford left-back Rico Henry continues to be touted for a potential move to Manchester United.

Football Insider claim United made an approach for Henry in the later stages of the transfer window and were rebuffed, but might target him “in future windows”.

Having been linked with Henry, United signed Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon on a season-long loan. They were widely expected to make a signing as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both out injured.

Football Insider say “sources” have indicated that Brentford would accept £35m for Henry.

Toney speculation

There also continues to be speculation over the future of Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

The England international is currently serving a ban for breaching Football Association betting rules, but clubs continue to be linked with him.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked with Toney and it has also been claimed that his former club Newcastle are interested in re-signing him.
