Transfer gossip: Raya ‘prepared to hand in transfer request’

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is prepared to ask for a transfer in order to force through a move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail.

It comes amid reports the Gunners want Raya to replace back-up keeper Emiliano Martinez, who is expected to join Aston Villa.

Raya has three years left on his Bees contract and has indicated that he wants to leave.

The Mail say that has “fallen on deaf ears” and that Raya is ready to hand in a transfer request.

West Ham won’t pay £20m for Benrahma – Telegraph

Brentford: Said Benrahma

West Ham are refusing to match Brentford’s asking price for Said Benrahma, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Hammers boss David Moyes has long been keen on Benrahma and the east London club are expected to make an offer for the winger following their sale of Grady Diangana.

Brentford want at least £20m for Benrahma, who was outstanding in the Championship last season.

But the Telegraph say West Ham will not pay that despite reportedly banking £18m from selling Diangana to West Brom.
