Brentford among host of clubs keen on Taylor

Brentford still want Lyle Taylor but face competition from a host of clubs, including Burnley.

The 30-year-old striker is set to leave Charlton on a free transfer on 1 July after his contract expires.

The Bees are planning to make him an offer.

However, Premier League Burnley and promotion-chasing West Brom are among the clubs also interested in Taylor.

There is interest too from Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor.

Taylor will not play for Charlton when the Championship season resumes later this month.

He fears suffering an injury would ruin his chances of securing a move.

Brentford, who are in the thick of the promotion race, wanted to sign Taylor last summer but were unable to agree a deal.
