Transfer gossip: Villa linked with Bees duo

Aston Villa have tabled a bid for Brentford winger Said Benrahma, reports in France claim.
Villa’s former Bees boss Dean Smith has been linked with several players he previously worked with at Griffin Park, including striker Neal Maupay.
And Le10 Sport claim Villa have offered around £9m for Benrahma – well short of Brentford’s valuation of the Algerian, who they signed from French club Nice last year.
Villa ready to offer £20m for Maupay, Sun claim
The Sun have claimed that Villa are preparing a club-record £20m bid for Maupay.
Villa want to keep Tammy Abraham, who impressed on a season-long loan from Chelsea, but reports say the Blues intend to keep him.
The Sun have declared that Villa’s owners are therefore ready to back Smith and splash out on Maupay.
Blades linked with Watkins
Sheffield United are reportedly interested in signing Brentford’s Ollie Watkins.
West London Sport have previously revealed that Southampton, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace have shown interest in the Bees star.
And Sky Sports News say newly-promoted United are also keen on Watkins, who scored 12 goals last season.

Maupay asap this is our priority, but we need to get on with this and stop faffing about, We also need to get Mings signed up before we leave it too late don’t understand why we haven’t done this already.
