Eger edging to fitness

Brentford boss Uwe Rosler believes recent signing Marcel Eger is close to full fitness.

The German defender has been used sparingly during the Bees’ pre-season campaign, but featured against Aldershot on Saturday and could be in the squad for this weekend’s League One opener against Yeovil.

Rosler said: “The specialist training programme we’ve had for Marcel seems to have worked well. I expect him to have full fitness in a week or two.”
